Working Papers

Students may obtain working papers (permits) beginning at age 14. Any student who wants to apply for woking papers needs to have an updated physical (within 12 months of application date) and must fill out Part 1 of the NYS Application for Employment. Once the school nurse has the application and an updated physical, a working card will be issued.

Working cards aer issued to students based on age and will receive a 14-15 year old blue card or a 16-17 year old green card. New applications and updated physicals are required for each card level.
