Go Flyers!!!!Hello Maryvale Families,

The annual WNY College Fair will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 21st in the Gym from 11:30pm - 12:15pm. Twenty local college representatives from across WNY will be here to discuss college admission, financial aid and program options with students.

Sending a HUGE thank you to everyone for participating in The Shine the Light on Mental Health Volleyball Match! It was a huge success as we raised $2500 for the American Foundation for Suicide prevention!!! Great job Flyer Nation!

Next week is the big week... HOMECOMING!
Every day next week will be a different theme! Spirit week is a way for students to dress up and have fun while staying focused on learning. Please make sure outfits are school appropriate and anything you wear isn't affecting other students ability to learn.
Other activities will be available next week, starting with the Suicide Prevention Varsity Volleyball Game on 9/22 with a 6 o'clock start. Following that, on Wednesday, 9/23, we have the JUNIORS vs SENIORS annual Powder Puff Game. On Friday, 9/25, there will be the HOCO Pep Assembly. This is where all the class games, sports announcements , cheerleading performance will take place and of course class King and Queen will be announced. Friday evening their will be 2 events. The HOCO Parade will take place @5pm. We will line up behind in the Senior Parking Lot. Our route will take us down Peinkofer, around Clearvale and Fairvale, then back to campus in time for the game. Let’s make this the biggest parade yet! We invite all clubs, activities, teams, and individuals to participate. If you’d like to walk, just show up! If you’d like to enter a vehicle or float, you must fill out a vehicle entry form. They can be picked up on Mrs. Vanaker’s desk in the lobby and must be returned to Mrs. Bernosky in room 136 by Wednesday, September 23rd. Later that night, your Varsity Football team will face Lake Shore High School @7pm, there has not been a theme picked out yet, so be on the lookout during morning announcements. Ending the week, 9/26, with the HOCO DANCE, with the theme, LIGHTS - CAMERA - ACTION! The dance starts @7pm, and will end @10pm. Don't forget to bring your HOCO ticket, each ticket gets you a free slice of pizza during the dance . Please make sure you have transportation set up prior to the dance, drop off and pickup.
