If you are experiencing technical issues with your device(s), student Google accounts, or have questions regarding Parent and/or Student Portal, please review the information below: 

Student Google accounts are in the context of FirstNameLastName@maryvalek12.org                     (example: JaneSmith@maryvalek12.org)

Student Google Passwords will be the characters MV followed by the last 6 digits of their student ID  (example: MV123456)

*Please note passwords are case sensitive and therefore MV must be capitalized

If you need your Student ID, please call the main office of the school in which your child(ren) attend(s):

  • Maryvale Primary School: 716-631-7492

  • Maryvale Intermediate School: 716-631-7487

  • Maryvale Middle School: 716-631-7425

  • Maryvale High School: 716-631-7409

If you are unable to login to your Chromebook, please verify that it is connected to a WiFi signal and there are no errors present.  Please verify you are using the correct account name and password context as stated above.

If you're still unable to login, please perform a hard reboot.  The procedure for this is as follows:

While the Chromebook is currently on, hold the power button down for approximately 10 seconds.  Release the power button, wait another 10 seconds, then press the power button once to turn the device on.  Please try logging in again.

If you are able to login to your Chromebook, but are experiencing difficulty with Google Suite Apps (Google Classroom, Google Meet, etc) or the device is performing slow

Please verify your Chromebook is still connected to your WiFi signal and there are no errors present.

Please be sure to have as few tabs open on the Chrome browser as possible.  Having multiple tabs open at the same time can reduce resources needed for Google Meet.

Your Chromebook may be in need of a ChromeOS update.  Updates typically occur automatically, but they can be performed manually as well.  To check for an update, please do the following:

  1. At the bottom right, click or tap the time.

  2. Select Settings .

  3. At the bottom of the left panel, select About Chrome OS.

  4. Under "Google Chrome OS," you'll find which version of the Chrome operating system your Chromebook uses.

  5. Select Check for updates.

  6. If your Chromebook finds a software update, it will start to download automatically.

  7. Once the download completes, you will see a button to restart the device.  Click/tap the restart button.

When the device has restarted, please log in and try the Apps that were not functioning previously.

If the device is still not functioning properly and/or there was no required update found.  Please perform a hard reboot.  The procedure for this is as follows:

Student Portal Account Issues:

Student Portal Account usernames are always their full 9-digit Student ID (ex. 900123456)

If you need your Student ID, please call the main office of the school in which you attend:

  • Maryvale Primary School: 716-631-7492

  • Maryvale Middle School: 716-631-7425

  • Maryvale High School: 716-631-7409

Please be sure to use the correct student portal link:  https://studentportal.wnyric.org/maryvalecsd

If you have not logged in to the portal yet, you were assigned a temporary password to use.  Once you log in for the first time you will be asked to create your own password. 

If you need this temporary password, or have already logged in but need a password reset due to forgotten password or your account is locked, please email the Portal Support Team:  portalsupport@maryvaleufsd.org

Parent Portal Account Issues:

If you have not registered for a Parent Portal account, please visit the Parent Portal login page: https://parentportal.wnyric.org and click the "Parent Portal Registration" link.

*Please note - when filling out the 'School District' field, begin by typing "Cheektowaga" without the quotes then select Cheektowaga-Maryvale UFSD
