As the end of the year approaches, we wanted to communicate important dates pertaining to summer school and August Regents exams. This information will only be relevant for students who are needing to attend summer school due to failing a class and/or for students who are interested in retaking a Regents exam in August due to failure or wanting to challenge for a higher grade. If your child falls into these categories after the school year ends, further information will be sent home the week of 6/29-7/3.
Summer school will take place from Monday, 7/13 through Thursday, 8/13. Summer school will run four days a week (Monday through Thursday from 8:00 am until 11:00 am.
For students not required to attend summer school but planning to retake an exam in August, review will be offered beginning Monday, 8/3 through Thursday, 8/13 (excluding Fridays) in the morning. Exact times to be determined at the close of the school year. Review classes will only be offered for the following courses:
Algebra I
English 11
Biology
Earth & Space Sciences
Global II
U.S. History
August Regents exam dates are Tuesday, 8/18 and Wednesday, 8/19. Students who either failed an exam OR who are looking to challenge an exam for a higher score are eligible to sit. As previously stated, more information (summer school registration, summer schedule, August exam registration) will be sent at the conclusion of the school year.
