The Maryvale Middle School PTO will be selling Maryvale apparel and we will have an activity that will allow students to earn a coupon for free ice cream. This past weekend, members of the Maryvale family participated in the annual Tunnel 2 Towers 5K. This event honors the sacrifice of FDNY firefighter, Stephen Siller who lost his life in the September 11 terrorist attacks. 95% of the funds raised by this organization goes to support their mission, which is to provide mortgage-free homes to Gold Star and fallen first responder families. Thank you and congratulations to all who participated or donated to this event. Congratulations to some of our Maryvale students and faculty for finishing in the top 5 of their respective categories, (pictured below).
Lastly, thank you to all of our faculty and staff, as well as our parents for helping make the start of this school year one of the best. Go Flyers!

The 8th grade field trip to Washington DC will be May 15-18, 2024. Our first informational meeting will be on October 26 at 7pm in the middle school cafeteria. Interested students and parents should attend.

Weekly pay-out Halftime $75 ~ $100 Final
Numbers will be drawn for each week once the 100 squares are sold.

On August 15th at 6pm the Athletic Department will be hosting a Parent, Athlete and Coaches meeting. This will be held in the high school auditorium. Parents and athletes will receive an overview of the expectations of the upcoming season along with an opportunity to meet with the coaches. We have also partnered with UB to provide parents to be trained in Hands On CPR on this night. Everyone who participates will be entered into a drawing for a pair of Buffalo Bills tickets.

UB is offering free back to school (and sport) physical day on Saturday, August 5 from 10-1pm at the Seneca-Babcock Community Center, 1168 Seneca St, Buffalo NY. They will have a table teaching hands only CPR and AED per AHA guidelines too.

In order to properly clean, repair and update student chromebooks, we have decided to collect them for the summer. Students will be turning in their chromebooks and chargers to their homeroom teachers either tomorrow in homeroom, or one the day of their last exam if needed for the exam itself or to study.
