Maryvale Middle School

Dear Parents of 8th Graders, We are going to open up the second bus for the trip, AS LONG AS we receive enough registration deposits by THIS FRIDAY, December 1st. This means that you will need to bring in $250 cash or check to Mrs. Phelps, Mrs. Cassidy, or the main office by Friday. We understand that this may be a short turnaround, but this has always been the deposit deadline for the trip. If you have any questions, please reach out to Mrs. Phelps (phelps@maryvaleufsd.org) or Mrs. Cassidy cassidy@maryvaleufsd.org). We will be able to make a call for the second bus at the end of the day on Friday. Checks should be made payable to Travelogs Inc. Registration through the Travelogs website is not necessary until we have made the decision on Friday afternoon.

Reminder: The middle and high schools have a half day on Friday, 11/17 for parent-teacher conferences. Dismissal is at 10:30 am. There is no school on Wednesday-Friday, 11/22- 11/24.

Dear Maryvale Student-Athletes and Families, As we are approaching the end of the fall sports season our office is starting to prepare for the winter season. Winter sports registration is now open and posted on the Maryvale Athletic webpage. Winter sport registration will close on November 3, ALL winter athletes must have an updated physical on file. If needed, physicals will take place in the High School Nurse’s office on the following dates and times. Please contact the High School Nurse, (716) 631-7483, to schedule an appointment for spring sport physicals. We are inviting 7th and 8th grade students and their parents to our Open House on Thursday, September 28, 2023, from 6:00-7:30 pm. The Maryvale Middle School PTO will be selling Maryvale apparel and we will have an activity that will allow students to earn a coupon for free ice cream. This event honors the sacrifice of FDNY firefighter, Stephen Siller who lost his life in the September 11 terrorist attacks. 95% of the funds raised by this organization goes to support their mission, which is to provide mortgage-free homes to Gold Star and fallen first responder families. Thank you and congratulations to all who participated or donated to this event. Congratulations to some of our Maryvale students and faculty for finishing in the top 5 of their respective categories, (pictured below).
