Dear Middle School Parents,
Our annual family engagement night (SPIN) is tonight from 6-8 pm. Check-in will begin at 5:45. If you have not pre-registered, you can do so with this form. https://forms.gle/RazhYscmHYZNbrK78
We are expecting a large number of families tonight. Parking will be in the front of the building in the yellow lot, with overflow in the green, orange and red lots. If you park in the red lot behind the school, we will have door 18 open between 5:45-6:15 so that you do not have to walk around the building.
We look forward to seeing you and your families for a night of food, fun and prizes!

Dear Parents,
Students are only permitted to ride the bus that they are assigned to by the district. Bus drivers may deny transportation to students who are not on their roster. Bus numbers, stops and times are available on the Parent Portal.

Report Cards for the 2nd Marking Period are now available on the Parent Portal.
Students will be engaging in a simulation for computer based testing tomorrow morning. This is to ensure Chromebooks and our network are working properly before the students take the NYS assessments. Please be sure to have your student charge their chromebooks for tomorrow.

The 8th grade Taste of Tech field trip is tomorrow. Please be sure your child brings in their permission slip, if they didn't already do so.
In the event the school is cancelled, we will attempt to reschedule the trip.
Dear Maryvale Community,
Due to Governor Hochul's declaration of a State of Emergency for Erie and surrounding counties, anticipating severe winter weather, hazardous conditions, and potential infrastructure damage, the Maryvale School District will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday, January 21st.
Regents exams scheduled for tomorrow will be rescheduled for later this week. The High School administration will be in touch shortly with further details regarding the rescheduled exam dates.

Our middle and high schools invited in the K-9 units from the NFTA this morning. The MS went into a Shelter-in-Place while the dogs were in the building. The dogs only sent by the lockers and did NOT enter any classrooms. We understand that this exercise may have bring up questions or inconvenienced some families. Please know that we occasionally conduct these exercises to ensure our school is safe and free from drugs to the greatest extent possible.

On Thursday, 1/9/25, the inside lane behind the IS and MS will be blocked due to construction. Cars should continue to pull down to the north door (#14), where students can enter the building.
We are administering the STAR tests starting tomorrow. Please be sure that your child's chromebook is fully charged.
