Parental Responsibilities

It is important that a student is in regular attendance at school.  Every absence, even part of a school day, interferes with a students progress at school.

  • Please make sure your child comes to school well rested, with good personal hygiene, and nourished.

  • Masks are MANDATORY for all students and staff in our buildings. Masks will be worn while riding the school bus, entering and exiting the building, in classrooms, during transitions in the hallways, and in common areas. Mask breaks will be scheduled throughout the day and masks will not be required at lunch. Please begin to prepare your child to wear a mask by finding one that fits comfortably and practice having your child wear it.

  • A note from your child's primary care physician will be required upon return to school from a communicable disease.

  • If your child has a medical concern of any kind, please call the Health Office 631-7436 or 631-7497 7:00AM-3:00PM.

  • The school is responsible for the first aid of school accidents only. Therefore the school cannot provide daily dressings of wounds incurred at home or at school.  Accidents or illness occurring at home are the responsibility of the parents/guardians and cannot be treated or evaluated by school personnel.  If a child becomes ill or injured during school hours, transportation must be arranged by the parents.
