About Mrs. Thomson
I attended Canisius College for my undergraduate education where I received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology in May 2009. Previous to this, in 2008, I was fortunate to be hired as a research clinician through the Connections Program, which gave me the opportunity to facilitate intensive social skills groups to adolescents on the Autism Spectrum, lead therapeutic activities, institute a structured behavioral program, and collect data. This was one of the most rewarding experiences during my time at Canisius.
I began my graduate education in the field of school psychology at Niagara University in August 2009. While attending Niagara University, I completed my practicum at Dodge Elementary and Lancaster High School. During my third year of graduate school, I interned full time at the Niagara Falls City School District for the 2011-2012 school year. In May 2012, I graduated from Niagara University where I received a Master of Science in School Psychology Degree along with a Certificate of Advanced Study.
In September 2012, I started my professional career as a school psychologist by covering a leave in the Starpoint School District for the 2012-2013 school year. I began my career at Maryvale Middle in September 2013. I married my husband, Jesse, in July 2018.
