Degrees and Certifications:
Hello! My name is Mrs. Sadowski and I coordinate the Academic Intervention Services (AIS), GradPoint, and Live Credit Recovery programs at Maryvale High School. As a certified social studies and literacy teacher, I also teach AIS to students in 9th through 12th grades in all subjects, but mostly ELA and social studies.
After graduating from Iroquois High School in 2005, I went on to SUNY Geneseo where in 2009 I graduated with a Bachelors in History and minor in Geography, and a Bachelors in Education. I then went on to receive my Masters of Science in Literacy and Masters in Education in 2010, also from SUNY Geneseo. From there I went on to teach in a kindergarten classroom at Elma Primary School, 7th and 8th grade ELA AIS at Tonawanda Middle School, 10th grade social studies and high school AIS at Buffalo Academy of Science Charter School, 7th and 8th grade social studies at Enterprise Charter School, and Reading at Lancaster High School. In 2015 I was hired as an AIS teacher at Maryvale High School, and this is where I plan to stay until I retire!
I am available to meet with students any school day from 8:00 to 3:30 unless I am teaching a class. My classroom is also known as the Academic Learning Center (ALC), and students are more than welcome to come and work on projects, essays, homework, etc. in the room during their study halls or lunch. I will gladly proofread or help with anything I can! The easiest way for a parent or guardian to reach me is by sending me an email.
