Welcome to Room 44!
KNEE-TOP-SKI !! Yes, that is how you say my last name. It is easier than it looks. I have been with Maryvale Primary for 21 years. Eleven of those years I have taught second grade and one was spent in kindergarten. I can now add first grade to my list. This will be my 10th year in first grade and I absolutely BIG HEART LOVE first grade! Mr. Nietopski and I have 2 wonderful sons and a daughter. Did I mention that we don't have a dog but we are still hoping for one! I put some photos below of our choices. Maybe sometime soon my family will grow!
We really enjoy spending time together as a family going places and having fun. I love getting outdoors and exercising with my kids. I also love to read (big surprise there!). Exercise, eating healthy, and mindfulness and spirituality are important aspects of my family's life. I'm not only passionate about teaching children but I love to educate anyone that will listen on ways to improve wellness through natural and holistic living. My family and I love natural living and we spend time with many DIY projects.

My philosophy of education includes teaching children to use their individual talents to reach academic success. Not only do I encourage your children to become independent thinkers, I also emphasize the importance of ACCEPTANCE and DIVERSITY in the classroom. My goal is to create an environment where all children can feel SAFE, and HAPPY when they come to school.
Our children are still learning and practicing appropriate behaviors. They will occasionally make mistakes. It is at these moments where your child and I will work together to take these mistakes and turn them into learning experiences. We will celebrate these accomplishments in our classroom and will be rewarded by knowing we made choices where all people in our class feel SAFE, HAPPY, and ACCEPTED when they enter our room!
