Discipline Policy

  • Classroom Rules:                                                mouse

    1. Raise hand and wait to be called on.

    2. Follow directions the first time they are given

    3. Keep hands, feet, and other objects to yourself

    4. Remain in seat unless you have permission to leave it.

    5. No talking while a teacher is talking.

If your child consistently follows these rules and consistently completes homework and classwork, will be rewarded with Freedom Friday, and possibly a homework pass.

If a student chooses to break a rule, the following steps will be taken:

    1. The first time a rule is broken, the child will be spoken to and will need to restate what rule was broken. A warning will be given.

    2. The second time a rule is broken, the child will be spoken to and will receive 15 minutes off from Freedom Friday.

    3. The third time a rule is broken, the child will be spoken to and a phone call or note (broken rule notice) will be written home to the parent(s) or guardian (stapled to the agenda) concerning the problem.  The child will also loose privileges within the classroom.

    4. Rules that are broken more than three times will result in all of the above and a visit/meeting with the principal to discuss the problem.

Two or more broken rules during this week will result in no Freedom Friday participation.
